Although many of Halo Infinite's initial teething problems have slowly been fixed and tweaked over the past month, there are still some things that the community isn't happy about. One such subject is the pricing of items within the shop, which are considered to be far too expensive by most players, with most packs costing between $10 to $20 and often not feeling worth it. Well, except for the cat ears.
That is set to change next week, however. Jerry Hook, head of design at 343, announced on Twitter that the team has been looking at the marketplace and how to change it, and will be implementing those changes as of Tuesday, January 18.
We’ve been monitoring the discussions on the Shop, bundles, and pricing closely since launch. Using data and community feedback, we’re going to begin rolling out changes to how we package and price items in @Halo Infinite – and it all starts next week.

Hook said, "We’ve been monitoring the discussions on the Shop, bundles, and pricing closely since launch. Using data and community feedback, we’re going to begin rolling out changes to how we package and price items in [Halo] Infinite – and it all starts next week. Starting Tuesday, the Shop experience will vary week-to-week. We are focused on reducing pricing across the board, providing stronger values in our bundles, starting to put individual items outside of bundles, and more."
Hook finished by saying, "We will be trying new things throughout the rest of the season so that we can continue to learn and improve for the future. Please keep the feedback coming during this process and I hope to see you all next week for the Cyber Showdown event!"
Although Hook makes it clear that the marketplace is going to be changing over the next week, it's not made clear whether the bundles are going to be made cheaper, or if the number of items included in each pack is going to increase. It seems likely that it'll be made cheaper instead of having bigger bundles, although it's possible that it'll be a mixture of both. It's also interesting to note that the shop experience will apparently "vary week-to-week", as opposed to updating every day.
