The open-world shooter, which has suffered several years of delays since its first reveal at E3 2018, will finally release next month.
However, it’s developer has said players should expect a significant amount of development beyond day one, including the addition of new stories and locations.
It wrote on Friday: “Want to know what will happen AFTER the premiere? We guarantee to expand the world of Dying Light 2 Stay Human for at least 5 years post launch with new stories, locations, in-game events and all the fun stuff you love!”
The follow-up to 2015’s open-world zombie survival title was announced at Xbox’s E3 2018 briefing and was originally scheduled for a spring 2020 release, but that launch window was delayed in January 2020.
Development was then disrupted in June 2020 with the departure of narrative designer Chris Avellone following allegations of sexual harassment.
In March this year, the Dying Light 2 team addressed impatient fans by reading out some of their most abusive tweets and assuring them the game was planned for release this year.

This was followed in May with the game’s first official release date of December 7, 2021, which was then pushed back to February 4, 2022.
Recently, the Dying Light 2 development team was forced to clarify the game’s length, following a backlash to its earlier claim that the game would take more than 500 hours to fully complete.
While intended to be a positive statement, the tweet received some backlash from players who felt this was too long for a single game. Techland later posted another tweet explaining that the main story itself is only 20 hours in length.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is due out on February 4 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and as a cloud-exclusive release for the Nintendo Switch. You can download the latest Dying Light 2 Trainer and cheats for free from WeMod.
