Battlefield 2042 Dev Admits Certain Fixes Are “Taking Too Long”

4.5
The Battlefield 2042 community was left in disappointment when DICE and Ripple Effect Studios changed the way Battlefield Portal and the base multiplayer experience itself handled the XP progression originally. Players were making literal XP farms to boost and progress themselves in the main game, and to combat that the developers temporarily nerfed XP progression, which brought in more disappointment than happiness.

Well, it seems Ripple Effect Studios, the developer responsible for Battlefield Portal, agrees that necessary changes are required. In a series of tweets, Justin Wiebe, the Senior Design Director at Ripple Effect Studios, admitted that the concerns of players are justified and that it is taking the developers too long to fix the XP issues and tier 1 progression in the game.

Weibe also answered a few other concerns from the fans. One fan asked if the rule editor will be added to Rush and other objective-based modes, to which he said that it is “in the discussion phase”.

Hopefully, Ripple Effect Studios will figure out the ways to fix the XP and progression issues on hand. In other Battlefield 2042 related news, the game received its third update last month, which seems to fix a number of problems, while a new map is scheduled to release soon.
