Sony working on PlayStation 4 since August 2010

Attila Vass’s LinkedIn profile says he worked as director of research and development at SCEA from May 1998 to April 2012, adding that he worked on the graphic library and security for the “Next Generation PlayStation” between August 2010 and April 2012.

The job description on his profile also confirms that he was involved in working for Sony’s “next-gen” platforms.

“In 1998 I started as the first engineer in the Playstation US R&D,” says Vass’s profile.

“I worked on graphics ( COLLADA, PSGL ) and a lot of network related technologies ( advertising, telemetry, PVRs ) for the Playstation2-x, PSP, Vita and Next Generation platforms. Platform security was occupying most of my time at the last years… ”

VG247 was told earlier this year that Sony is aiming to launch PlayStation 4 before Xbox 720 next Christmas.

Hacked PS Vita's.

Not to mention the Anonymous/LulzSec incident.

Lets hope the PS4/Next Gen has better security.

You do realize nothing is unhackable. But the fact that Sonys security is lower than a Coffee Shops network, they have a lot of work to do.

I have never been a big fan of Playstation because socialization was difficult,if its fixed in the PS4 I might think about buying it!

Thy_Blugoon Good, and somehow i knew this lol but ps3's network i just dont like theres no parties and it isnt as easy to socialize as xbox i hope ps4 makes a little comeback but dont get me wrong ps3 is a decent system overall


That's how I feel about it, I hope they make it easier to socialize as well.

Xbox is much more straightforward in my opinion. Oh well, I guess we'll see.
