Sony asks you to design the next DualShock 3 controller

SCEA is asking gamers to submit design ideas for its next DualShock 3 controller.

The firm has released a number of different colours over the years, and it plans to release more - designed by you.
"We want to add to our line-up of DualShock 3 colors, but this time we want you to be the designer," says Sony via the US PS Blog.

"Starting today, and ending August 15th, you can ... submit your idea for the design of the next DualShock 3 controller. Whether your design is based on your favorite game or your ideal color, all PlayStation fans will be able to vote on your idea."

This is cool and interactive, but this is just a way for them to release an overpriced piece of sh*t remove that you can paint on your own. Let's hope it's going to be something original and funky, like where the symbols (triangle, square, etc.) on your buttons will have a tiger pattern, but the rest of the button itself will be a solid color. If they just do BASIC color schemes, not worth it, unless the remote will be only $5-10 more. Getting a mod company to paint it costs a lot, and getting a brand new remote that is also painted costs even more. If the winning colorway will be pretty cheap, definitely worth it imo.
This is also another example of Sony milking as much money as they can from the PS3.

mafiaman235 well its a fact that playstation is gay so i dont really care but they should put triggers in instead of buttons for R2 and L2.
