Black Ops 2 features in-game livestreaming and 'Shoutcasting'

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is looking to leave a mark on the future with its feature list, bringing livestreaming options into the series for the first time in its history. Developer Treyarch has revealed that Black Ops 2 will include the ability to stream and Shoutcast directly from the game on all platforms when it launches on November 13.

In the mode, two players can serve as Shoutcasters – otherwise known as commentators – for a multiplayer match. Though inspired by the eSports crowd, the mode is available to all. Players can shoutcast games live as they are taking place or add commentary to games saved in the Theater mode of Black Ops 2.

Delayed livestreams can be activated from the menu at any time, feeding the game to a web browser for anyone on a PC, Mac, or mobile device to watch.

Imagine I see why they ended the commentary to the end of the BO2 multiplayer trailer.
Well that is really cool that they're doing this. The only problem is, the quality is probably going to be bad.


Maybe but it's better than nothing and it's something new that no one else has.

Activez- So is it gonna be possible to make commentaries and post them on youtube now? Without a recording device or mic needed for the computer? Meaning all we need is gold, blops, and a mic?

Nice. I guess now I can do a dual com with my friends. I'm actually excited for Blops 2 now.

It's basically like Black ops 1 in theater mode where you can record and put in file share. This is where you and one other can add commentary to that video so when others watch the video, they will hear your voice


Yeah it's basically just adding your voice to your video while it plays and your going to be able to upload the video the way you made it.
