Sony has revealed the latest lineup of upcoming games for the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscription tiers, with a strong notable presence from the Far Cry and Yakuza franchises. All games are expected to arrive on December 20th, except WWE 2K22 which will be available on January 3rd, 2023.

There are three Far Cry titles coming this month: Far Cry 5, Far Cry New Dawn, and Far Cry Primal. New Dawn is a sort of spinoff to Far Cry 5, and Primal offers a more primitive and unique take on the world of Far Cry and its mechanics, so having the three packaged together is a great deal. The Yakuza series also adds its last two numbered entries: Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and Yakuza 7: Like A Dragon, along with the first entry of the spinoff detective series Judgment. The Yakuza titles are mainly centered around the protagonist Kazuma Kiryu's life, but they still can be enjoyed as their own separate adventures.

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War are included as well, so it might be a good time to give them a go ahead of Private Division's anticipated new Middle-Earth game. We can't forget Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire - Ultimate Edition, a must-play RPG from Obsidian, and Mortal Shell, which is an indie souls-like game but isn't any less merciful than its inspiration. There is also a considerable variety here with the other smaller titles like The Pedestrian, Evil Genius 2, Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion, Ben 10: Power Trip, and Gigantosaurus.

All of these games are included in the Extra tier, in addition to WWE 2K22, Worms W.M.D, and The Escapists 2. As for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, they will get four exclusive titles to this tier: Ridge Racer 2, Heavenly Sword, Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, and Pinball Heroes. That makes it 22 games in total for PlayStation fans this month, or 25 if we include the PlayStation Plus Games for December that were announced earlier this month.
