As one of Xbox Game Studios' biggest titles, Minecraft was released on Nintendo Switch back in 2017. Since then, the game has expanded its player base even more, as the developers at Mojang are currently working on more spin-offs from the series that will be available on a wide variety of platforms, including Switch.
Currently, the console version of Minecraft is being maintained by the Scottish developer 4J Studios. However, the team is also working on multiple other projects as well.
This year, Minecraft is supposed to receive update 1.20, which will introduce camels into the game along with a number of other new features that were revealed back last year during the Minecraft Live Celebration event. Currently, there is no release date for update 1.20, but it is going to be the game's biggest content expansion for this year.
For now, Mojang is fully focused on Minecraft: Legends, which will be available on April 18.
