At a house in North Apollo, Derrick Shaffer was casually playing his Xbox, when the front door to his home opened. Derrick simply thought that a family member had come home, but instead found an armed man in a ski mask.
The armed robber bound Derrick with duct tape and zip ties while he robbed the house of money, jewels and several firearms. The robber then fled the house in a car belonging to Derrick's father.
Still tied up, Derrick managed to get to his Xbox headset and get the friend he was playing online with to call the police.
It's good to hear that playing video games had actually helped somebody for once. So if anyone ever complains that your wasting time playing Xbox, tell them it could help save your life in an emergency situation!
