GTA 5 delay: Rockstar dismisses conspiracy theories

Rockstar has debunked the "conspiracy theories" surrounding the recent Grand Theft Auto 5 delay.

While we do not know which theories Rockstar were referring to, we have the suspicion that it may have something to do with people thinking that GTA 5 may be releasing on Next-gen consoles.

But Rockstar insists that the only reason Grand Theft Auto 5 was delayed was to ensure the game meets customer expectations.

"To those of you saying or seeing various conspiracy theories about there being some other ulterior motive for this delay, rest assured that they're all nonsense - literally the only reason we've delayed the release is because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be"

"For those of you asking about the official box art, that will be coming out a bit later as well."

Famous_Energy What they dont get is that we want the game now, they can do updates to the game if they need to.


I myself would rather have a game that is finished and there arn't any bugs/glitches than having to wait for updates to fix them just because the game got released 5-6 months early.

Thats what CoD fails on EVERY year!


It's been 5 years. You would think they would have a near perfect game by now.



It takes a long time to make a game as big as this perfect. The reasons its so easy to make cod games year round is mainly cause they do the same thing just new maps and some new guns. I rather have them take their time theres no reason to rush things. If anything this wait will make more people want it more.

That's true. But the fact is, the game's late release only adds to the suspense of when it finally hits the market.

THECARJACKER Since it will be coming out around FIFA, Halo and CoD, there will be a massive battle between them all. Im going for GTA, an hopefully they will win!

It's not coming out around either where do you get the idea that it will be coming out around the next halo? Its not a yearly thing like COD and I doubt it will get game f the year because this year the worst game out there "the walking dead" took game of the year and it sucked so I'm prettying convinced that people just pay a lot of money to get game of the year.


Im guessing you think that the walking dead sucked because it didnt have enough guns in it?
