Report: Next Xbox to "kill" pre-owned, requires always on net connection

Sources claim to have word that the next-gen Xbox will require an always-on internet connection and will block the use of pre-owned games.

The source says that another source “with first hand experience” of the console adds that games will still be buyable, which are supplied on 50GB Blu-ray discs. It is understood that disc games will use an activation code.

So, no more going to the shops and buying cheap second-hand games? There has to be more people who think this is a bad idea by Microsoft.

This is a really bad idea. You can say goodbye to gamestop and any other gaming store.
Plus a lot of people either don't have internet or don't use there xbox on internet.
Also what happens if your system breaks?

I agree. They should expect skilled private developers working with a custom firmware for the xbox if it'll have such limitations.
