New Call of Duty confirmed for Q4 2013, 'will raise the bar even higher.'

Surprise, surprise, Activision has recently confirmed their plans to release a new Call of Duty game in Q4 2013 (October - December)

"The Call of Duty franchise continues to set the bar for innovation and we expect a new Call of Duty game in development for 2013 to raise that bar even higher," said CFO Dennis Durkin during a financials conference call on Thursday.

He also added: "There is increased volatility this year due to the ongoing console transition, which makes predicting the future more challenging than during normal uses in the cycle. For Call of Duty, consistent with our past practices, we are planning for the main line release in Q4 to be down versus 2012"

Many expect that the next Call of Duty is going to be another from the Modern Warfare set of games.

i doubt that its gonna be different. most of the CoD games are the same and dont change. same BS each game. just make new or remodel a map, change weapons, killstreaks, and BOOM new title. a new CoD game

T0xic8ear they should stop the Modern warfare series its getting pretty old. Infinity Ward should start fresh or completely do the opposite like Black Ops to BO2.

I agree, there is going to be a new COD every year. IDK if I'm going to buy it though, I'm about done with COD titles...

Am I the only one that wants to go back to world war 2? MW3 was the last cod game I bought and I have not even played blops 2 once. I'm probubly not gonna buy or play the next one either even if it is on console.

Compromisezz Modern Warfare 3 was honestly the worst call of duty. After COD4 they kept getting worse.. The just don't put in enough effort because they already know they are going to sell millions.


I agree with everything you just said.
I have honestly been contemplating never buying an other Infinity Ward game.

What could save them is if it's released out on the next gen consoles.
Most people will want to try out a fast paced shooter on the console, and see the graphical improvements of CoD.
