EA exec: It is unlikely the next Xbox will play Xbox 360 games

An executive for Electronic Arts has recently claimed that we should not expect Xbox 360 games to run on the next-gen Xbox, nor should owners of the next Playstation expect to play PS3 games on the PS4.

Sources report that EA chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, said "An important thing to remember is that next-gen consoles will most likely not be backwards compatible… And if you play multiplayer on a game, you'll most likely not be able to play with someone on a different generation."

Feet The PS4 doesn't so I don't think this will, unless they microsoft wants to add this feature, then more would buy.

If this is true and the 720 can't play all my 360 games, I'm probably going to make the switch to playstation...

-Robin- Its going to suck if you get the console near its release but none of your friends do because then you wouldn't be able to play with them on multiplayer according to this.


Well then you could just go back to the xbox 360 and play with them there i guess.


Unless you sell it to buy the 720.
