EA exec: It is unlikely the next Xbox will play Xbox 360 games

An executive for Electronic Arts has recently claimed that we should not expect Xbox 360 games to run on the next-gen Xbox, nor should owners of the next Playstation expect to play PS3 games on the PS4.

Sources report that EA chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, said "An important thing to remember is that next-gen consoles will most likely not be backwards compatible… And if you play multiplayer on a game, you'll most likely not be able to play with someone on a different generation."

I can't see this actually happening.. They should know better and that they would lose a ton of sales if your not able to play 360 games on the next gen console.. Seems like a false rumor to me.

I agree, but they do seem to have a lot of downfalls so far. I haven't heard a lot of positive stuff.

Nope. I wouldn't be surprised if people just kept their old consoles if all these rumors are true!


The only positive thing i have heard about it is the specs.
