Sony exec: Gran Turismo 6 'on PS3 this year'

It is known that Polyphony has been working on Gran Turismo 6 since 2011, meaning many expected the game to come out quite a long time after it had been announced. Now it turns out that the game may come out this year, and this time it is on the PS3.

This is according to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Senior Vice President Michael Denny, speaking with sources: "Look at the games coming out on PlayStation 3 this year, like The Last of Us, like Beyond, GT6...."

Sony confirms that Gran Turismo 6 is in development and has been since 2010, but offers no additional comment about a release this year.

Compliance I have never played one of these before, but this looks good.


It's an all round racing game, very fun!


If it's anything like the earlier versions it should be great.


It looks that way to me, although I can't judge a game by one picture!

Same with me, I had one of the games for the PS1.


PS1 brings back so many memories, so does Gamecube.


GameCube was pretty much my childhood. Super Smash was the best.


Melee was the best, I was the best kid in my neighborhood in that game xD

i don't think racing games' graphics will ever be perfected to look like a real car though, it's just like a sports game, the movements of the player will never be truly realistic


They're getting there. Maybe in the distant future they will have perfected graphics to look as realistic as possible.


eh i don't see it happening, graphics are the one thing that i just don't see being perfected..


Well, movies are getting pretty close, why not video games? I can see it, it'll just take a while.
