Tomb Raider studio confirms work on new movie

According to Variety the masterminds behind the recently launched Tomb Raider reboot are working closely with filmmakers tasked with creating a film reboot. They are very optimistic that they will be able to work with this IP to create a very authentic and down to earth protagonist. Their hopes is to create a new story arc the blends effortlessly with the newly released games, they plan to accomplish this by working closely with Crystal Dynamics during production.

Even I only watched the very first tomb raider movie and have heard nor seen anything about the games or movies.


I didn't even know there was a movie for this game, but thanks to TTG I know there is/was :P! Awesome.

I would like a film to do with this, adventure movies are wicked fun and very entertaining to follow along with.

I would prefer if the did the film with CGi like they did with the intro of the game. It would prevent them from get shitty actors. All they would need to do is get good voice actors. If they are going to be working with Crystal Dynamics, then they should be able to get in touch with the actors in the current game.
