Dragon's Dogma 2 File Sizes Revealed

4.2
Dragon’s Dogma 2 already has official file sizes for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Gamers who want to play Dragon’s Dogma 2 will have to clear around 65 to 70 GB of space in their drives, depending on their platform of choice.

Originally announced last year, Capcom’s new RPG is not even out yet, and it’s already a big hit. Soon after the game was available for pre-order on Steam, Dragon’s Dogma 2 became a best-seller on the platform. At the moment, however, gamers are only able to use the Dragon’s Dogma 2 character creator’s system to make their heroes, as pre-loading will only be available on March 20, and the game will be released on March 22.

Now, the official file sizes for Dragon’s Dogma 2 have been revealed. The PS5 version of the game will be 64.391 GB in size, and the Xbox version will be slightly bigger, occupying 69.95 GB. Unfortunately, official information regarding the size of the game for PC has not been revealed yet. However, gamers should expect it to be somewhat larger than the Xbox files, as PC generally supports several visual settings.

69.94GB on Xbox Series X/S.
64.39GB on PlayStation 5.
Unconfirmed on PC.

This is just the latest of many interesting details revealed about Dragon’s Dogma 2 in the last few days, though. Capcom recently revealed how long Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be. According to the Japanese publisher, a gamer who only focuses on Dragon’s Dogma 2’s main quest will likely take around 37 hours to beat the game. By doing all the side content, including all side quests and thoroughly exploring the world, gamers are likely to spend over 100 hours playing.

Another interesting detail about the game is that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will have time-limited quests. The addition of this controversial feature will push players to focus on the quests at hand. If gamers take too long while doing a quest, they may face a negative outcome, such as NPCs dying. To show the players that a quest is time-sensitive, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will use an hourglass icon next to the quest’s name.

Related to these time-limited quests is the information that Dragon’s Dogma 2’s NPCs can die permanently. Permanent death can add a whole new layer of challenge and consequences to the open-world RPG, and enhance the idea of a “fantasy world simulator” promoted by the game’s creators.
