3G PS Vita price cut in most Sony stores

4.3
The 3G PS Vita has gotten a price cut in most of the Sony stores across the United States. Sony has had problems getting the Vita to sell at anywhere near the numbers they had hoped for, and it appears they have now given the go ahead to cut prices of the Vita that has 3G capabilities.

The price drop seems to be in direct contradiction to what Sony had said last month when they dropped the price of the Vita in Japan. At that time, all of the company’s handheld gaming devices got a $50 price drop in Japan only. Sony followed that move up by announcing that there would be no similar move in the United States.

Some store employees have said that the Vitas with 3G capabilities are being discontinued and that Sony stores are trying to get rid of their inventory in response. Other employees have said that the sale is temporary, and will be ending soon.

Gossip Isnt this just modified version of a PSP?

Yes it looks like, with an added right analog stick and 3G capabilities and probably a lot more internal stuff added/updated.

Yea the internet is the only thing good about it.

iPlayDirty i dont think as many people use handheld gaming device anymore!

it's a dying trend, since the DS released and the PSP i think that handheld gaming has begun to die out.

SDP 3G isn't a great connection anyway. People now a days are more into playing games at home connected to wifi on a fast, secure connection, than playing whilst out and about when they could loose connection at any time due to 3G not being available everywhere.

i know haha i doubt there are very many people that bring this to play games whenever they are out and about. Maybe on a long car ride though..

Yikes
pmsl It's because no one uses hand held consoles anymore. The graphics are normally terrible and they're so so overpriced.

I agree they are overpriced.
