Next gen Xbox disk installation required

4.2
Earlier today, a few images of the "Microsoft Durango XDK Documentation Setup" leaked on the internet. This document is for licensed game developers only, and it reveals tons of unannounced information regarding the next-gen Xbox to the public. Much more has been added to the documentation since the last time it was leaked.

What really threw us off was the following:
"All games will be installed on the hard drive. Play from optical disc will not be supported."

What do you think? We'd say this is proof that they will include, at least, a 320GB hard drive in the base console at launch.

We also noticed that upon installation of the documentation, all of the tools and plugins needed for developers to create games are installed to Visual Studio 2012. Older versions of Visual Studio seem to have been abandoned.

This makes me not want to buy this because I don't want to have to keep buying bigger hard drives just to play games that you also have to go out to buy.

TopNotchKiNG Guys, a current-gen game on the Xbox 360 takes up 6-8GB. A BluRay disc is 50GB. 320GB will be gone very fast.

I think they should just allow people to add their own hard drives, I would just stick a 1TB hard drive in then never really have to worry about space.

I don't even think that 1TB would do the job - well, maybe in the short run, but not in the long run.

If custom capacity HDDs are available (or however they end up doing this) I'd get at least a 2TB HDD (they aren't very expensive).

So if we have lots of games we need to keep buying bigger drives? The next-gen xbox is sounding worse and worse by the week.

DLT If it is true, it wouldn't bother me. All the games I play regularly I install to my hard drive because they have a habit of breaking.

Doesn't that take up a lot of your drive though ?

No, not if you have a 250gb, each game is 4-8GB so its pretty clean.

I have a 250BG but i don't install any games unless they break and im installing a friends version of the disc

I have a 120GB Hard Drive and usually delete the game once I have finished playing it.
