An update to the Steam backend reveals what appears to be a new look for James, who appears younger than the original Silent Hill 2 Remake trailer. In that footage, the character looked a little different from the original 2001 version of the game, appearing older and more world-weary.
This ‘new’ version of James looks a lot more like his 2001 incarnation, although personally I didn’t mind his older look as it gave him a bit more of an edge. You can check out a comparison of all three James’ below.
Silent Hill 2 Remake is currently in development for PS5 and PC, with a release date yet to be announced. According to a recent report, Sony is hosting another PlayStation event next month, where Silent Hill 2 Remake is expected to appear. Earlier this month, the ESRB posting up its rating for Silent Hill 2 Remake, which indicates that a release date announcement could be around the corner.
