Call of Duty Championship starts today, watch on Xbox Live

The $1 million prize purse is officially up for grabs starting today with the kick-off of the Call of Duty Championship series. The championship takes place over this weekend in Hollywood, CA, with aspiring millionaires (not after taxes!) throwing down in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Thirty-two total teams will compete over the course of the weekend with the festivities being broadcast over Xbox Live, which is also sponsoring the event. Players can also watch the tournament via Xbox.com, through Call of Duty Elite, Twitch, Gamespot and the Call of Duty Facebook page. The final championship event is scheduled for Sunday, April 7, at 6pm ET.

Fariko.Impact wins the whole tournament taking home 400,000 dollars split between 4 players. EnvyUs takes 200,000 Dollars split between 4 players. It came down to last map meltdown S&D and Fariko won 6-4. It came down to last map. Even though EnvyUs placed second they been around since Call Of Duty 4. EnvyUs is known as the team for always placing 2nd placed, everybody says they are cursed lol.

I wish I would had won 100,000 dollars. :( Only two European team placed T8 which was inferno who took 8th place for 25,000 dollars split. Epsilion took 6th place and they got 50,000 dollars split.
