Nintendo is known for releasing all kinds of bundles over the years, typically around the holiday shopping season. Recent years have seen Nintendo repeatedly go back to its Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Switch bundle, but it seems it may be trying a different strategy this year. If a new report is to be believed, a fresh Switch OLED bundle is on the way.
This is according to Dealabs, which has accurately leaked gaming hardware news in the past. While fans are always encouraged to take leaks with a grain of salt, if Dealabs' information is accurate, it seems that the new Switch OLED bundle will include the white OLED model, a download code for Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and a 3-month subscription for Nintendo Switch Online. This Switch OLED bundle is said to retail for $349.99, and is expected to release before mid-October, with Dealabs specifically pointing to September 23 and October 3 as potential release dates.

3-month subscription for Nintendo Switch Online

For someone that has yet to upgrade to the Switch OLED and doesn't have Super Mario Bros. Wonder in their collection, this new bundle represents a great opportunity. Those that still haven't purchased a Switch at all will definitely want to consider checking out this bundle. After all, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is one of the best Switch games, and that, combined with the 3-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription, should keep purchasers plenty busy. With a Switch Online subscription, Switch owners can play all kinds of classic Nintendo games, including some of the best titles ever made for the NES and SNES.
That being said, with the Switch successor console reportedly launching at some point in 2025, now may not be the best time to invest in an original Switch. Insiders have stuck with the claim that the Switch 2 is being revealed this month for a potential launch in 2025. It's been claimed that the Switch 2 will be backward compatible, so announcing new hardware would potentially harm the sales of this new Switch OLED bundle. Assuming this Switch OLED bundle is real, it wouldn't be surprising if Nintendo holds off on revealing its next console. It will definitely be interesting to see what happens, to say the least.
