Minecraft creator Notch receives golden PSone E3 invite from Sony

Markus 'Notch' Persson, the Mojang founder responsible for Minecraft, has been gifted a very special VIP E3 invite by Sony.

Whether Notch chooses to attend Sony's E3 press conference or not - which takes place on June 10 - he'll forever own this lovely gold-colored PSOne.
Unfortunately for Notch, the console came without its necessary video and power cables, so whether it works or not has yet to be confirmed.

The news is interesting because it encourages speculation regarding Notch's relationship with Sony. Minecraft is currently an XBLA exclusive in its console guise, but what kind of plans could Sony and Mojang have in the works for PlayStation 4?

Maybe we'll find out at E3.
