Why though? Why are people actually buying the Xbox One? It's as if you don't even own the console, Microsoft does. You're only renting it. You're paying an extra $100 for restrictions and being spied on! When you buy a game you get bored of, you can't trade it in so you waste money. Are people too blind to realize how much of a mistake they're making?
Actually you pay 100 more for kinect. Also they've already said they'll support trade ins. Please don't post unless you fully understand the subject.
I think you're missing the point, NOBODY WANTS KINECT!
I want kinect to shut your ***** ass up!
Im curious as to what your cuss word was as it just seems like an odd insult...
Anyway, a lot of the features that come witht he Xbox 1 are driving away the consumer, as they are having their CHOICE taken away from them.
I wouldn't normally get Kinect but it comes anyway, oh well. I would also leave it plugged in anyway as I dont really care; HOWEVER, MS have taken away my CHOICE to have the Kinect in, as now I have no choice but to leave it in, otherwise my Xbox doesn't work.
These choices that MS are making with Xbox 1 involve some mind numbingly stupid decisions, I mean I would have loved to sit it on the meeting where MS employees thought that these would be good ideas to be embraced by the consumer.
And to keep it relevant to the article at hand, the high price is ridiculous, as the consumer pays more for the Xbox 1 than the PS4 AND the Xbox 1 has no backwards compatibility, so the game collection has to be started from scratch, meaning you are spending MUCH more than you would with the PS4, and the high price you are paying is for the less superior console.
I agree that MS is taking away a little freedom for the customer, and I will probably stick with the 360 and ps3, but you have to realize that no matter what, people will still buy the Xbox One. Let them have their own choice. No need to ridicule someone just for getting a system that you are not too fond of.
Oh I realise that people will still buy the console, just for the sake of sticking with MS blindly, and I agree with you, but I am not ridiculing people who buy the Xbox 1, just giving them a different point of view about the console.
I would have happily stayed with MS, but I am not a fan of the negative consumer changes being made to what should have been an amazing console. I am not buying either Next gen at least until Christmas, just to make sure people can really develop their opinions on both consoles.

More than anyone wants to pay, yes. However its worth even more in my opinion so very fair price if people could think they wouldn't have to defend

I'm not a 'kid' sorry to tell you.
You don't understand how technology is moving do you? Everything is trying to branch out as far as possible and get into more fields. TV's are getting more advanced with internet capabilities. Computers are getting Tv. Netflix, HBO Go, and I have the Directv Go thing. That's the future. Staying only in one market means less sales. Also this price I thought is extremely low. I think it comes with Gold to. If I'm right about that then it seems like the hardware is actually cheaper than the PS4. Since it does not come wtih the Eye or PS+ at 399.
