Updated: Xbox Live Down, Microsoft Investigating

If you're having trouble signing onto Xbox Live, you are not alone. Microsoft is aware of the issue and is "actively investigating," according to the official Xbox Support Twitter account. The Xbox Live status page notes that users may have trouble signing into Xbox Live via Xbox.com, though we've experienced the same issue when logging in via the Xbox 360 itself.

Update: Xbox Live seems to be slowly returning is it online for you?

Sound dumb ass **** this never happens this is the first time it's happened I've had my Xbox for 4 years this is the only time at been down and at least it was fixed within the hour unlike PS3 a whole month that retarded as ****.

There's like two people saying that... I didn't even get offline so I wouldn't say it happens too often. If I remember correctly PS gave an update that kicked users offline the other day. It happens to both consoles is my point but it's sad that you come on here hating just to start something. I guess you to have since the One update. Sony fanboys have to start looking for other things to hate.

You're just like the other kiddies. Wanna know why they couldn't get it back up within an hour? Because the servers, were crashed. Not just taken down, and DDoS'd. They were crashed.


Sony should be able to put in a security system that can stop ddos. Microsoft has always had better security. Sony even said Microsoft has better security but sony is "working: on it.

When Xbox live goes down it is a simple fix when PS3 goes down it take awhile for them to fix their mess up.
