Xbox One November 27 release is just a placeholder

Responding to Amazon’s November 27 release listing for the Xbox One, Microsoft has denied it has set an official launch date.

“We have not informed our retail partners about a specific launch date for the Xbox One,” a representative told IGN.

“It is commonplace for retailers to put placeholders dates and prices into our system until they are given a specific date and price. We are excited to release the Xbox One in November 2013.”

As Steph noted when posting the listing, it was always an odd date – too late in the month to pip Sony at the post, and well behind the release of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Also, a Wednesday, which is weird.

It doesn't have to, they have a good relationship, it wouldn't surprise me if they they released it on the same day.

Spot I have a feeling that the Xbox One will come out a lot sooner then that because FIFA 14 is for Xbox One and they said Fifa is coming out in later August.


Madden 25 also comes out in August. So hopefully it's pushed up

Sooo ... It will be out before then? because most of the time placeholders are longer than it actually does come out because if the console comes out before the placeholder date then no one is mad and actually happy it came out sooner, but if it comes out later then people get tired of waiting and then they want there money back.
