Xbox One November 27 release is just a placeholder

Responding to Amazon’s November 27 release listing for the Xbox One, Microsoft has denied it has set an official launch date.

“We have not informed our retail partners about a specific launch date for the Xbox One,” a representative told IGN.

“It is commonplace for retailers to put placeholders dates and prices into our system until they are given a specific date and price. We are excited to release the Xbox One in November 2013.”

As Steph noted when posting the listing, it was always an odd date – too late in the month to pip Sony at the post, and well behind the release of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Also, a Wednesday, which is weird.

Could be, I first thought they were doing it around Christmas.


I might be wrong but isn't the PS4 coming out around Christmas?


It will be, the PS4 and Xbox One release dates will be very close together, neither will want to miss out

Is that really true that games and that stuff get released all on Tuesday's? I've heard people say that a lot before but didn't know if it is true or not.

It would be smart though, since alot of kids/teens would ask for that as Christmas present!


Yeah of course it would, the release date will always be before Christmas! Unfortunately I will still be paying for this myself.
