Sonic still unconfirmed for Super Smash Bros 4

Sega and Nintendo have not been talking about Sonic returning in the upcoming Super Smash Bros game for 3DS/Wii U. What seems like an obvious choice to many hasn't been discussed by the two companies yet.

Takashi Iizuka from Sonic's team said this about the hedgehog joining the Super Smash Bros roster as a third party character in the upcoming game.

"All we can say is that we also think it would be awesome if he was in the next Smash Bros. So yea, but that’s more of a question for Nintendo than us."

You would think Nintendo would have already contacted Sega about it. Perhaps they want to focus more on the first party Nintendo characters before working on 3rd party characters. The game is set to be released in 2014 so they still have time to discuss Sonics possible addition to the roster. Either Nintendo is really considering letting Sonic sit this one out or they’re going to wait to confirm his addition to the game.

Let's be honest here, you would get this game regardless if Sonic is in it or not ;D

Sonic is a great thing to add, Sonic was myy first game I ever played (on the Sega) :d

Steve from Minecraft? They're not going to add in characters that weren't associated with Nintendo games. Example, they wouldn't add in a character that was exclusive to Microsoft or Sony.

Homunculous Cool but I never cared about sonic in this game. I really want them to add skull kid from majora's mask.


That would actually be something different. Not once did that come into thought at all xD
