Angry Birds Trilogy coming to Wii U in August

Rovio has confirmed the Angry Birds Trilogy will be available for the Nintendo Wii and Wii U in August.

The Angry Birds Trilogy features Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio.

According to its developer, the Nintendo release "30 episodes on disc -- including exclusive new levels". Additionally it has "Wii U Gamepad and TV swap capability, touch screen controls and online leaderboards."

In May, Rovio launched a new publishing business called 'Rovio Stars'. The initiative will debut with Nitrome-developed Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage.


According to director of development Kalle Kaivola, Rovio Stars is "focusing on a small, select number of games, and each Rovio Stars launch will be an event of its own."

Rovio Stars EVP Jami Laes said the new initiative is intended to guide users to quality games in a flooded market. "We want to help our fans find quality entertainment among the more than 100,000 games available in the app stores."

BDB This game is so overhyped, it gets to much attention I would max pay $10 for that.


I understand the overhyped, but that game is alright.


But it will probably be more than it's worth. This game costs like what $1 on phones? If it's over $10 and nothing is really different, then they are charging more than is needed.


it might be like 5$ & there is probably going to be different features since it's on a console compared to a phone.


I'm not really expecting much from this game. I'm sure the Wii U gamepad will be used to play this and different levels and characters added. Other than that I don't think there will be a huge difference.

Homunculous I'm not looking forward to this. All I ever here is "Angry Birds" they do to much with what should be a simple one to two expansion game.


I completely agree, all that I can say is WHY!? I absolutely hate the fact that these $1 games made it onto consoles at $30.


I wouldn't mind if the game was sold on the Wii U for the normal price of a few dollars but if they raise it to around $30 then it would just be ridiculous


It would be a huge money scam. I can almost guarantee this game won't be anywhere worth $30 not even $15 seems worth it. $5 max seems about right.
