Angry Birds Trilogy coming to Wii U in August

Rovio has confirmed the Angry Birds Trilogy will be available for the Nintendo Wii and Wii U in August.

The Angry Birds Trilogy features Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio.

According to its developer, the Nintendo release "30 episodes on disc -- including exclusive new levels". Additionally it has "Wii U Gamepad and TV swap capability, touch screen controls and online leaderboards."

In May, Rovio launched a new publishing business called 'Rovio Stars'. The initiative will debut with Nitrome-developed Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage.


According to director of development Kalle Kaivola, Rovio Stars is "focusing on a small, select number of games, and each Rovio Stars launch will be an event of its own."

Rovio Stars EVP Jami Laes said the new initiative is intended to guide users to quality games in a flooded market. "We want to help our fans find quality entertainment among the more than 100,000 games available in the app stores."

I don't hate Angry Birds, I just don't find it that fun. I tried the first one that came out for phones and I was not a huge fan of it at all.

it was a huge fail, but its still running, they are trying to make more games and update it, but its not effecting the sales rate much, kids prefer xbox and ps nowadays.

Nintendo is trying to push out as many third party games as possible, there is a limit to what they can do on their 'outdated' hardware though. The console has sold far under what was expected.
