Angry Birds Trilogy coming to Wii U in August

Rovio has confirmed the Angry Birds Trilogy will be available for the Nintendo Wii and Wii U in August.

The Angry Birds Trilogy features Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio.

According to its developer, the Nintendo release "30 episodes on disc -- including exclusive new levels". Additionally it has "Wii U Gamepad and TV swap capability, touch screen controls and online leaderboards."

In May, Rovio launched a new publishing business called 'Rovio Stars'. The initiative will debut with Nitrome-developed Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage.


According to director of development Kalle Kaivola, Rovio Stars is "focusing on a small, select number of games, and each Rovio Stars launch will be an event of its own."

Rovio Stars EVP Jami Laes said the new initiative is intended to guide users to quality games in a flooded market. "We want to help our fans find quality entertainment among the more than 100,000 games available in the app stores."

If that. It got boring quick. Plus some of the free remakes on ios are better anyway.

Katsumi Playing angry birds on the WiiU would be pretty interesting in my opinion. It would make great use of the touch pad on the controller. It's great to see that the WiiU is actually starting to get a few more games suited towards casuals

True, its nice to see that they're trying to make their console better by making cooler games for it!
