Black Ops 2 double XP weekender kicks off Today on all formats

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is receiving yet another double XP weekender, this time to celebrate the impending launch of the Vengeance DLC pack on Xbox 360 from July 2. Don’t worry if you haven’t got an Xbox though, this event is open to all.

"Vengeance is a dish best served with Double XP, so look for it this Friday, June 28 (10am/PDT), running through Monday, July 1 (10am/PDT)."

The studio announced the weekend event on Twitter, and when asked if it applied to all platforms replied, “You bet”.

It's more of a thing to keep the game "fresh", the COD developers have realized people are getting bored with COD so by releasing DLC more often they feel it will keep them on the game and it does don't get me wrong but that ends real quick as they get bored with it again.


I get what they are doing. The game does get fun again for a week or two but then it simply turns into the 'same old thing' once again. They need to somehow innovate the franchise.


I play the zombies map like once or twice and then stop playing it unless I get a party game going. I don't touch multiplayer anymore. I only get the DLC for the achievements and zombies to some sort of degree, but it's mostly for the achievements.


I very rarely play zombies at all on black ops 2. The only occasion i go near it is when i have some friends who want to play. I disliked zombies in both WaW and Black Ops also. I mainly buy my map packs for the multiplayer aspect

I know right, it's really easy to prestige once double xp arrives. You can prestige once a day really! :D Good luck.

This will be great for me, because I am a ninth prestige, meaning, I'll probably hit Prestige Master, within this weekend. Then, Finally, I can go back to the older CoDs.

Kurumu The thing that ruined my Black ops 2 experience was the loads of 2xp that happened when the game first came out. I was 4th prestige by the end of the first weekend. Then by the next weekend I was 7th, so on and so forth till I stopped playing at 9th lvl like 40. I have gotten back into the game. The best way to have fun is to try your balls off and play competitive league.


I played NukeTown when the game first came out with the MK48 and I leveled up so quickly. I did the same exact thing on the first DLC double XP and prestiged like once a day on a 2 hour game time. I hit master prestige no problem. Now I don't even touch this game unless for zombies or if I'm going to go derp around with some friends on it.
