DlCE Um if i can remember power bricks are traditionally big and overheat quite quickly. Im not saying which is better, But look at it with common sense you dont put something that overheats inside of something that has parts that do not need to overheat. Sony is looking at alot of future problems with the console by doing this. and by the size W/H it looks like it will hold a 6v brick? Thats not alot of power

As new tech comes along things can be made so that dont overheat like they have done in the past. Look at PC's, the old ones, and the computing power you would get from a huge tower, now you get over 10x the capability from something a third of the size, same with mobile phones, as time goes by, tech gets better, new materials and composites are used and things can be made smaller, if it could cause such a problem, sony wouldnt do it
