Nintendo loses battle to take control of WiiU.com domain

4.5
Nintendo has lost the fight to gain control over the domain WiiU.com after a complaint was filed back in February.

WiiU.com in all its glory...
The decision was posted to the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) website on Saturday, confirming that Nintendo's complaint to gain control of WiiU.com was denied, as reported by Fusible.

The domain has been registered by a company in Burlington, Massachusetts since 2004.

Fusible notes that WiiU.com was put up for auction, yet once Nintendo filed the complaint with WIPO the listing was removed. It appears that Nintendo will have to pay a sizable amount in order to have control of the domain.

WiiU.com is currently a placeholder site containing link to both Wii U and non-WiiU content.

There has been no explanation provided as to why Nintendo lost the case.

RATF nintendo has been going downhill for a long while now

I hope they step up their game soon, I don't want to see this company fail.

They wont fail nintendo basically started it all.

Sega and Atari thought the same thing and look what happened. Sega still makes games but not consoles anymore and Atari just stopped making games and consoles in general.

Flitter Nintendo really seem like they are going downhill, not sure how they are going to come back from all of the failed attempts of revival coming from them...

If the games that they showed at E3 do pretty good in sales, it might bring them back up. Plus they have some "secret" games that will be released as well and that might also help their sales.

True, I heard about those "secret games" I hope they're going to be as promising as they tell them to be.

LOL, this guy can get rich from selling it :)

ThisIs50 WiiU is dumb anyway, I am glad that they lost!

that's a horrible comment. WiiU is not horrible. You can't tell me one bad thing about it. It has great games that don't need to be super popular.

The only reason that the WiiU isn't doing very well is because of the lack of good games. It is not 'dumb' what so ever.

I also thought it wasn't doing so good because of how it was kinda rushed onto the shelves and then hoped for the best like they did with the Wii. I could be wrong with as to why it's doing kinda bad but that's what I thought was the main reason as to why it's not doing the best.
