Far Cry 4 'clearly' going to happen, Ubisoft says

Ubisoft will pursue a sequel to Far Cry 3, Senior VP of Marketing and Sales Tony Key has announced plainly.

"It's a great brand, and now it's got the recognition it deserves, so we're clearly going to make another one: more on that soon," Key told GameSpot. That recognition comes from combined retail and digital sales to the tune of 6 million as of May, making the game one of Ubisoft's top recent performers alongside Assassin's Creed 3 and Just Dance 4.

A standalone spinoff to Far Cry 3, titled Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, was released back in April. It stars sergeant Rex "Power" Colt, a cyber-commando up against the Omega Force cyborg army in an alternate 2007, ravaged by nuclear war and '80s action movie references. Our review says it "broadens the appeal of its source, thanks to a hilarious, accessible dollop of nostalgia, coated in the mechanics that made Far Cry 3 great."

Astonishing, was counting the days they would announce this. FarCry 3 had such amazing gameplay, the villains were horrible and brutal, thats what i loved. Buck was an ex ADF soldier, so he's an Aussie which made it even more awesome. And after watching Lethal Weapon 2 last night, i can tell Hoyt was definitely from South Africa. I cant wait for a sequel, but i have my own plot details/predictions. So in FarCry 3, you get 2 endings, well I think that the one where you kill your friends was actually a hallucination, so the one where Cytra dies is the one that happens, and thats the start i think, not sure what would happen from there, but thats my idea, hope it looks right :D

I really hope they make the multiplayer/co-op look and feel the same as the campaign.

Anyone who has played Farcry 3 knows that the online quality is dramatically downgraded.
Either way the 4th game should be amazing on next gen. I would love a plane or heli of some kind.

Damn straight! i loved it. Sadly my Xbox wont read my disc and im on the last mission. But i did finish co-op a couple times.

It's defiantly worth buying. Far Cry 3 is a great game with a decent amount of content.

Hopefully Far Cry 4 can follow in the footsteps of 3 yet improve on the Gameplay experience. I am personally looking forward to it

Walmart Sells the Physical copy for 20$. I was just there.
