Xbox One could outship PS4 3-to-1 this year

Robert W. Baird and company analyst Colin Sebastian has stated in his latest investor’s note that Xbox One seems to be riding the momentum train at retail.

Along with topics covering upcoming financial releases such as EA, Take-Two and Activision, Sebastian noted that gutting the DRM policy on the new Microsoft console has done wonders for the upcoming system.

“Despite losing the headline battle at E3, Microsoft’s Xbox One appears to be regaining some momentum, in part due to the used and online policy tweaks,” he wrote. “Importantly, our supply chain checks suggest Microsoft may have the benefit of a 2-3x unit advantage at launch compared to Sony’s PS4.”

The analyst expects both PS4 and Xbox One to have launch shortages and he also noted that Microsoft is “working with channel partners to lessen the gap,” between the consoles’ pricing – there’s a $100 difference between it and PS4.

Sebastian also said he felt Wii U needed a price cut in order to be competitive and “the fate of the platform” rests on Nintendo’s holiday software lineup.

MS is screwing us XBOX 360 was made for gamers this POS xbox 1 is a entertainment center has a piss poor hardware upgrade then what it could its name sucks its made for ads and to get everyone BUT YOU the gamer money and they went from the cool green like a tradition they went black and white 2 very dull colors.


Umm... You do realize entertainment systems sell more right? They want to get a bigger audience so they add the most features. PS4 on the other hand is just updated graphics. And graphics don't even effect anything unless it's a console exclusive. Anyway you are stupid if you think companies are just going to make a gaming console when they could make so much more money adding other things.

Actually, the Xbox One is having significant hardware upgrades that is nearly identical to PS4, so you now you are properly informed and dont sound like an idiot MS is not screwing anyone over.

Pretty interesting to be honest. I believe both consoles are doing well though, and both are going to be great to play.

Having more consoles is a big plus especially when the consoles are so close in specs.

If you go to the store looking to buy a next gen console and you see it might be a couple weeks to get a PS4 it would turn many people to the Xbox One.

It will be interesting to see how this takes effect.
