PlayStation 4 friends limit supports up to 2000 friends

It's getting down to the details now as we head closer to the next-gen console launches of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with Sony sliding in today that the PS4 will let users have a couple thousand friends on their buddy list.

"The PlayStation 4 has party chat and, I can also tell you, that your PlayStation 4 friends list will let you have up to 2,000 friends," said Hollie Bennett from Access PlayStation in a video released this morning.

Microsoft had previously stated the Xbox One will allow up to a thousand friends.

HecticModsHD I can only see famous youtubers getting 2000 friends. I don't even have 100 friends on xbox. So there is really no reason to have 2000 friends.

2000 friends is the limit, i could only see people adding 500 or so maximum

Hell, people will still probably complain. 2k is too much to be honest.

I don't really see the problem with them raising the limit.. It's not like people will be required to add 2000 friends, the limit is there because barely anyone will reach it.

That is a lot of friends. I think the limit of 100 on xbl right now is to little but 2000 will be crazzy. It will be nice though not having to worry about if you have room on your friends list.

Tram I like this idea

I don't see why anyone would like it or dislike it honestly. Nobody will have 2000 friends they talk to and play with everyday let alone 1000
