Forza Horizon developer 'working on sequel'

Forza Horizon developer Playground Games may be working on another next-gen Forza title, according to a team member's LinkedIn profile.

Yibo Liu, a vehicle technical artist at Playground, revealed on his LinkedIn page that since January 2013 he's been "working as the only technical artist in the vehicle art team for an undisclosed next-gen Forza project."

This has since been changed to simply: "Working as the only technical artist in the vehicle art team for an undisclosed Xbox One project".

The only Forza game confirmed to be in development is Forza Motorsport 5, an Xbox One launch title being developed by Forza series regular Turn 10 Studios.

Forza Horizon, developed by Playground, was the only Forza game not handled directly by Turn 10, so speculation naturally suggests Playground would be working on a sequel to Horizon.

This past July, Playground was seen advertising for new staff on what it described as a "visually stunning", "genre-leading" racing game.

Probably the best Forza I've played. Forza 4 was awesome, but the open-world of Horizon sold me.

Hopefully they make this one not as boring as the last forzas. Love their games but it's boring at times.

Why would you just call it Horizon 2? It would be something like Forza Horizon: ?, or maybe not even Horizon. :/ I can't wait for this game!
