EA Sports has released a new FIFA 14 developer video to highlight the game's improved ball physics and shot mechanics.

The game's lead gameplay producer Aaron McHardy discusses how the dev team has enhanced player animations to better reflect ball positioning, and how this will make for a more natural-looking game.

It was recently confirmed that Liverpool and Barcelona have signed three-year deals with EA to make FIFA their 'official video game partner'.

The deal means the entire Liverpool and Barcelona squads will be fully 3D scanned into the game, resulting in "stunning accurate visuals" of each player, according to the publisher.

EA has confirmed a FIFA 14 release date of September 24 in North America and September 27 throughout Europe on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Xbox One and PS4 versions will be released "later this year".
