PS4 to get cross-platform party chat with PS Vita, Yoshida confirms

Playstation 4 users will be able to invite friends playing on PS Vita to a cross-platform party chat. Sony’s President of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida confirmed the feature when answering a fan question on Twitter. The confirmation comes after the announced a price cut at gamescom for the Vita.

Well since Xbox One has Skype you can do "Cross Party Chat" On any device that supports skype.

OT: Thats pretty cool I guess. It sucks that its only with the Vita, hopefully they expand to smart phones.

If anything they have stayed the same and the Xbox is the one that has been improving. Name one thing they have actually improved on. Because I know Xbox removed DRM, gave Indie support, included a headset into the box, allowed kinect to be disconnected. Playstation as a whole has stayed the same, this is because they got it right the first time around, so dont come saying they keep improving stuff when they havent improved anything.

How is that? Because you can talk to people on a crappy vita? I bought a vita and sold it 1 week later

Pretty cool feature I have a good amount of friends with Vitas there sounding a lot better with these cool features like Skype and this too also the price drop is cool but I won't get one untill they get some better games.
