Battlefield 4: launch game modes confirmed

Battlefield developer DICE has confirmed the game modes that will ship with Battlefield 4 in November.

In a post on the official Battlefield blog, DICE confirmed that the shooter will launch with seven game modes, two of which are new to the series.

The modes include series regulars like Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination, while adding two new game modes.

The new modes include:

Obliteration, where two teams face off on medium-sized battlegrounds where one bomb spawns in a random central location and the goal is to pick up the bomb and arm it at one of the enemy’s three military installations.

Defuse, where players don’t have any re-spawns at all for an even tighter and quicker infantry-only game mode.

DICE also confirmed the game will launch with ten multiplayer maps, and all game modes will be playable on all of them.

Battlefield 4 will be available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC October 29 in North America and November 1 in Europe. PS4 and Xbox One will launch when the consoles drop.

ACEM Defuse? SnD much? Not bagging BF4 (Amazing game), but if CoD did the same thing and took a gamemode from Battlefield, everyone would go crazy lol.


Who honestly cares. I think it will be so "intense" in this game. You ant just run around drop-shotting.


Damn ipad *can't just run around drop shotting. You need to actually think about what you're doing

CoD isnt strategy.. if you think because they haev "Leauge Play", it is stratgy based, you are an idiot. BF3 was extremely comp. rivaLxfactor was a comp. BF3 player.. However neither match up to ARMA 3!

Not everyone is a pro CoD player. No matter what you say. I'm not too huge of a CoD fan, but I'm not one of these kids that just hate on it 24/7. Not everyone that plays CoD is mlg material.

The cod community has more little kids than BF. that's a fact

I don't find it ok at all, I see the blatant copy and I will not be playing these gamemodes, if I wanted to play them I'd go to Cod, 64 conquest for me please.
