Turns out, in addition to a PlayStation 4, GameStop managers will also receive an Xbox One this holiday season. The announcement was made at the retailers' expo in Las Vegas a few hours after it revealed managers would receive a PS4 and seven games.
Neowin reached out to GameStop and the company confirmed the detail. The Xbox One console will be given to all the general managers of the company's 6,500 stores, whether or not they attended the expo. No word on whether it will also include software.

Microsoft announced free Xbox Ones for Gamestop managers IN RESPONSE to Sony announcing that every Gamestop manager would receive a free PS4 and 7 free games. Sony announced it FIRST. So, that blows your theory out of the water.

Actually, I know a few Gamestop managers. Trust me, it doesn't take much brain power to become a Gamestop manager. Honestly, Nireland is correct. Gamestop managers do not promote the consoles. They do not push sales. They do not come out front and engage the customers. For the most part, they ARE useless. They, absolutely, do not deserve free consoles. This is truly a slap in the face to those of us that have been voluntary beta testers for Microsoft for years, 2-3 year veterans of the Xbox Ambassador program, voluntary Code Enforcement. All for what? So that we get nothing, while some douchebag that knows very little about gaming gets free games and consoles?
So lets see people who earn far more than most gamers get a console for free, while the loyal fanbase (both PlayStation's and Xbox's) has to pay for theirs. Not right it should be the other way around!
