Xbox One reputation system not carried over from 360

4.8
The Xbox One reputation system will not incorporate information from Xbox 360 users, meaning previous troublemakers will have a chance to make a fresh start.

As part of an IGN Q&A session, chief Xbox One platform architect Marc Whitten was asked whether everyone's reputation will carry over the two systems.

"We will not carry over any of the 360 reputation scores into the new Xbox One reputation system," Whitten replied. "The majority of members will start fresh at the 'good' player level."

Whitten also made it clear, however, that the more recent troublemakers will not receive this privilege. They will instead begin with a "needs work" reputation level.

"We will be working with the Xbox Live enforcement team that has identified a small subset of members that have recently had enforcement actions taken against them", Whitten explained.

"This will give those members a chance to prove they can participate on Live fairly, and are not automatically placed in the 'Avoid Me' classification where things like SmartMatch filtering will affect them."

Microsoft first discussed the Xbox One's 'advanced troll detection' in July, with Microsoft's senior product manager Mike Lavin explaining how it worked.

"There'll be very good things that happen to people that just play their games and are good participants," Lavin told OXM. "And you'll start to see some effects if you continue to play bad or, or harass other people en masse. You'll probably end up starting to play more with other people that are more similar to you."

My question is; What if you are a well liked player and you are queueing with a player with bad reputation? How will matchmaking work then?

Everyone is already complaining yet it has not even come out yet. So, we have no idea how it will work to be honest. Just let it happen because you guys are honestly probably over reacting. Most of you are saying your going to get bad rep for killing an opponent, I am sure Microsoft is smarter than making to work like that.
