Xbox One in 'full production'; CPU boost confirmed

4.5
Xbox One is currently in 'full production' following a last minute CPU tweak, a Microsoft exec has confirmed.

Speaking at the Citi Global Technology Conference, Xbox chief marketing officer Yusuf Mehdi confirmed the console is currently in its production stage.

He also revealed the company has improved the console's CPU from 1.6 GHz to 1.75 GHz, according to Geekwire.

Mehdi's comments follow similar news from Xbox One chief product officer Marc Whitten last month, who confirmed that the company has increased the console's GPU clock speed by 6.6 per cent.

Microsoft has yet to announce a specific release date for the Xbox One beyond a vague November launch window. In the case of eight European countries, the console won't release until 2014.

Meanwhile, a recent terms and conditions document for an upcoming PepsiCo promo campaign suggests the console will release 'late November'.

Xbox Live director of programming Larry Hryb recently responded to claims the console has been rushed, insisting every Xbox One booth at Gamescom was running on final Xbox One hardware

Zyphr I wonder how long it makes to make one :p

Well considering a machine put it together maybe 2-5 minutes 10-20 at most

I couldn't see an Xbox One taking more than 5 minutes to make. They have an extremely high quote to meet and 5 minutes per console just wouldn't cut it.

I agree with this also with the pre orders sky rocketing they would need a quota of around 10-15 million around the launch date.
Microsoft has some of the biggest factories in the world. They'll most likely be 100% automated. An accurate estimate would be about 15 minutes.
