GTA V records biggest launch in UK history

Grand Theft Auto V has claimed the record as the biggest UK video game launch in history.

Rockstar's latest title, which launched globally on September 17, managed to sell around 1.57 million units in its first day on sale, pulling in around £65 million, according to Chart Track figures.

How these figures break down by platform went unspecified.

That smashes the previous record held by Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops, which managed 1.41 million units sold and around £58 million in its launch day, November 9, 2010.

It was yes $800 million on the first day now that is impressive I think it will take the Game Of The Year awards by storm a long with The Last of Us etc.

Well when I went to midnight release there was a hell of a lot more people there than for any other game I was just glad that I was in the middle of the line and managed to get my game as soon as possible really.
