GTA Online will reportedly support 32 players, not 16

A new report claims that Grand Theft Auto Online's player count may have been increased from the previously confirmed 16 to 32.

While a Rockstar representative declined to comment on the matter when contacted by CVG this morning, Cinema Blend claims to have obtained the information ahead of GTA Online's October 1 launch by scouring through the network configuration settings for the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto 5.

According to the report, GTA Online will feature a "Freemode" supporting 1-32 players. Up to 32 players will also be supported across Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Races, and Cops and Crooks modes, the site claims.

GTA Online cannot support that many players obviously.
They should have just stuck with the original 16 and I doubt they would have had all these crashing problems.

GTA online so far has been a disaster. They should have just kept it at 16 and not push their limit to 32 and I doubt they would have had the problems they are.

BBmodz I think they should have a option for both sizes considering with 16 players it would be a lot more peaceful and with 32 I think there would be a lot more action.

If they added a option for going into different sized lobbies I think that would be amazing.


That's an awesome idea, they probably thought about it aswell, it would be great!

I think that this will be supported 8 / 16 or 32 player options personally I will always be in the 32 player lobby or if I want to chill just play single player GTA V is definatley going to be fun for all I am eager to see what goes on with the heists in online and how you can get mugged etc.
