Battlefield 4 videos: PS4 vs Xbox One

Video footage comparing the Xbox One and PS4 editions of Battlefield 4 has begun to emerge online, providing further suggestions that the PlayStation version is technically superior.

Firstly, VideoGamer's early analysis suggests that Battlefield 4 features a subtler lighting engine on PS4, adding that the Xbox One's renders of polygonal models is "jaggier".

The commentators pointed out that both next-gen versions are commendably attractive.

I did prefer the xbox one look in the video, and each console had it's FPS drop moments. A PC has this, so of course a console will. You'll be staring at the explosion not twisting your gun left and right anyway! Also have to remember the lowest FPS seen on either console is still higher than what either one produces right now on this gen of consoles.


I'd like to remind everyone in December we'll be seeing the mantle API tested for the first time with BF$, we're expecting massive FPS and graphics capabilities overhauled on AMD systems.

Its funny how they look pretty much the same yet PS4 fangirls thought ps4 would be like playing ultra on pc compared to medium on xbox one haha.

I am a Xbox fan. I had the first Xbox and the Xbox 360 and plan on getting the Xbox One. I also had the PS1,PS2,PS3 and might get the PS4. I don't care what console is better I think both consoles look great. Whatever consoles you choose to get hope you enjoy it I know I will. I just wish Microsoft and Sony will make just one mega console... That would be sick.

There will most likely be an option to change things like the brightness when the game is released. Making the game a little more easy on the eyes when it comes to the PS4

I will be buying the Xbox one, just because I like microsoft.
I like windows 8, I like the dashboard and i've had everything from them.

XxGA3MRxX Even though the PS4 did win in FPS I really liked the shaders on the Xbone and the color, detail seemed more easily visible where as to the PS4 i could see the screen well but it seemed to lack color, maybe cause of the brightness, but im going according to the video.
Great video, its nice to see that both platforms are evenly matched in the aspect of power. Both have advantages that outweigh their disadvantages.


even if the ps4 is just barley better its 100 bucks cheaper lol

I actually agree with the video, The PS4 version textures are way more defined. If you look at the long shots on the Xbox One version there quite blurry.
