Microsoft boasts about Xbox One 'Forza 5' 1080p resolution

Microsoft has tweeted about Forza: Motorsport 5's 1080p resolution.

After recent revelations that titles such as Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4 run at a higher resolution on PS4, Microsoft tweeted a reminder that the Xbox One is also capable of running games at 1080p.

Responding to what has been dubbed "resolutiongate", Microsoft's Phil Spencer recently defended the console's capabilities, telling ShackNews that users "play the games, not the resolution".

Spencer also believes that "resolutiongate" will blow over at launch, and isn't concerned about the console's perceived lack of power.

Microsoft previously described Forza 5 as a "huge epic game" that runs at 60 frames per second in 1080p.

It will be available as an Xbox One launch title on November 22.

The game gives users the opportunity to race and set times on the Top Gear Test Track, and features commentary by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond.

A Forza 5 Car Pass, which unlocks monthly car packs, will be available closer to launch.

Thats funny because under multiple occasions they have also said that Microsofts Xbox One knows how to do the same thing with less power. Isn't that weird? They both display 1080p and xbox has less power. Sounds like Sony needs more power to keep up with Microsofts Xbox One so that would in turn mean Xbox One is better. Sucks you are wrong
Brandownage27 I can tell you're an xbox fanboy. Machinima, IGN, Game Informer, and Gamespot have already proven that the Ps4 is the way more powerful of the two. 1080p vs. 720p is a big difference whether they think it is or not. And I find it funny that they say you don't play resolution. That has such a huge impact on the game, so saying something like that is beyond full ****** imo.

You are clearly a Microsoft fanboy, and are in denial. It's funny how IGN, Game Informer, Machinima, and Gamespot have all concluded that the PS4 is by far the more powerful system, so keep telling yourself your little stories, it won't help the changing the truth.


why are you looking at xbox stuff again, no one cares about which is more powerful show me the diffrence xbox one has more features than ps4


And you're a ps4 fanboy, no one will notice the difference unless put side by side, these fanboys are **** childish and really grind my gears.

Forza's graphics have always seemed to amaze me. They get better and better every year.
