Minecraft PS3 Edition being readied for testing

4J Studios has said it's currently readying Minecraft PS3 Edition for testing ahead of release.

It said on Twitter that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are further back in its queue of things to do.

"We're hard at work getting Minecraft: PS3 Edition ready for testing just now. The other platforms & TU14 will be later."

Minecraft was announced for PS4, PS3 and Vita in August 2013. At the time, it was expected that the game would be a PS4 launch title, although that is not the case.

The Xbox One version of Minecraft was announced at E3 in June. Building off the 360 version, it promises "larger maps for more complex structures, expanded multiplayer features and enhanced gameplay".

KAQ Well that's good news :) but they don't really need a wider or taller map though :/ 256 blocks is big enough tbh but ok :)

A wider map can't really be a bad thing. I think the current amount is plenty though

Xbox owners have to rebuy so I doubt it. Id just wait for the PS4, the 360 version has a small map so thatll probably plauge the PS3 version.

I am so looking forward to this, me and my bros are going to be playing this all the time when it comes out on PS3. And, we are going to be playing it more when the PS4 version comes out.

I will most likely be getting this once it is released, I am more looking forward to the PSVITA version though
