Minecraft PS3 Edition being readied for testing

4J Studios has said it's currently readying Minecraft PS3 Edition for testing ahead of release.

It said on Twitter that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are further back in its queue of things to do.

"We're hard at work getting Minecraft: PS3 Edition ready for testing just now. The other platforms & TU14 will be later."

Minecraft was announced for PS4, PS3 and Vita in August 2013. At the time, it was expected that the game would be a PS4 launch title, although that is not the case.

The Xbox One version of Minecraft was announced at E3 in June. Building off the 360 version, it promises "larger maps for more complex structures, expanded multiplayer features and enhanced gameplay".

Woof Xbox owners have to rebuy so I doubt it. Id just wait for the PS4, the 360 version has a small map so thatll probably plauge the PS3 version.


How do you figure that?
If it is already bought on the same account that is used on the Xbox 360, you can just redownload it for free.

It will never be anything like the PC version.
16x16 TP on past gen consoles and 32x32 on next gen consoles if we are lucky.

Nothing close to the 128x128 on PC.

I think they focused most of their time trying to prefect the Xbox version before moving onto the PS version.
Maybe it will come with less bugs.

If the turn out is anything close to it was with the Xbox 360 edition, then they will surely make a lot.

there is no sequel to be made from Minecraft.
I take it you have never played Minecraft before because you said it was like a RPG earlier, lol.

Not nearly the amount microsoft is making for having exclusives.

A wider map can't really be a bad thing. I think the current amount is plenty though
A taller map would be good. I want to make a massive death star >:D

It kinda sucks it took them this long to get it out in the first place.
Although, I love it when Xbox has exclusives.

Hopefully it will be released soon. I'm more anticipating the Vita release myself though
